Hotel De Vigniamont, is a truly remarkable and special place to stay in the beautiful and historic town of Pezenas in the heart of the Languedoc Roussillon.

All our accommodation has been extensively renovated to incorporate the charm and grace of past times with the comforts of today, each room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers plus other little extras.

Our grand salon is the perfect place to unwind, or enjoy the Bonheur on our sun drenched roof terrace (we also provide shady spots if you prefer!)

The Inner Court Rooms

Step out of either of these two double bedrooms straight into our inner courtyard with bubbling fountain, sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of sunshine filled rose wine.

Provençal: This cosy double room captures the true essence of the South of France with its traditional beamed high ceiling and wonderful provençal prints and accents. Double patio doors provide plenty of light and fresh air

Alsace: The cool and tranquil ambiance of this double room will ensure a restful stay. The original stone walls have been wonderfully restored and the soothing muted tones provide a wonderful escape from the heat of the day.

The Suites

Situated on the top two floors, our suites offer double bedrooms with separate self-contained seating areas.

Burgundy: This 1st floor mini suite decorated in warm red tones offers a wonderful view down into the inner courtyard and across to the magnificent arches of Hotel De Vigniamont. In addition to the twin bedroom there is a separate cosy seating area looking across to the roof terrace.

Languedoc: This top floor suite in French lavender colours comprises a separate sunny seating area and double bedroom. Open your window and shutters to welcome the glorious morning sun and enjoy the view of the rooftops and distant church tower.

Count Vigniamont: This magnificent grande suite allows you to imagine life as royalty! Impressive 12ft windows looking out to the historic college provide both the bedroom and sitting room with wonderful light and airiness. Enter into the elegant lounge furnished with period style, comfortable sofa-bed and chairs; there is also a working gas fire for those occasional chilly evenings. Double ‘french doors’ lead into the graceful bedroom and charming bathroom with tub and overhead shower

Breakfast: Most days breakfast is served al-fresco on the roof terrace, a cornucopia of delights await you! Served between 8.30am and 11.00 am (we appreciate you are on holiday so may want to have a leisurely late breakfast). We promise you will be spoiled by choice.

During the early evening we invite you to join us for our Raid the Pantry hour whereby we offer you a selection of home made hors d’oeuvres and tasty bites from the region and pour local wines to accompany the ‘amuse bouche’ to tide you over until dinner. This gives you a chance to chat with other guests and perhaps learn about another bijou in the area awaiting your discovery!

PEZENAS AND SURROUNDING AREA

A short stroll from our front door will take you into the heart of Pezenas with its labyrinth of cobbled streets and historic buildings housing artist studios, brocantes, cafes, bars and restaurants. Saturday is market day in Pezenas and the streets are filled with everything from aromatic bunches of herbs to provençal shopping bags to organic meats, local cheeses, olives and artisan breads. In the summer months Pezenas and its surrounding villages are a hive of activity with different festivals, markets and exhibitions.

Pezenas is also ideally located for exploring this beautiful part of France. For the bustling city experience Montpellier is only 45 minutes away, whilst the Mediterranean and a wealth of golden sandy beaches is a 20 minute car drive through the beautiful countryside of the Herault. This part of the South of France has so much to offer during your holiday. Each day can bring a totally different experience, from wine tasting or visiting medieval towns and villages to swimming in crystal clear lakes and rivers.

Pezenas is approximately 75 minutes from the following airports, all serviced by the budget airlines: Montpellier, Nimes, Perpignan and Carcassonne. Eurostar / TGV from London / Paris. Easy access from motorways A9 and A75
